Chris Cooper has given us a quick summary of this scary book, on Kickstarter: “A cryptic text from her brother and the promise of easy money leads Emma to Sage House, a creepy home tucked in the Tennessee countryside. As Emma and her brother work to find a mysterious book and heal their fragmented relationship, they slowly uncover the truth behind the obscure house and its previous inhabitants. And as odd occurrences abound, they discover that ghosts are the least of their problems.”
Second Book: Nobody’s Ghost
Here’s Chris’s summary: “Clifford Morris haunts houses. He’s not a ghost, nor does he ever intend to be one, but he’s turned a telekinetic gift into the foundation of a lucrative business running tours of a local axe murder house. When the house garners the attention of a renowned psychic, Cliff agrees to an interview, eager for publicity and fueled by a staunch belief that all psychics are frauds. But this psychic is no fraud and unlocks the door to Cliff’s dark past, a past that brings with it a spirit of its own.
Cliff draws inspiration for his fake haunt from real life horrors. You’ll notice elements from the Villisca Axe Murder House in his hatchet wielding madman and influences from stories like the Athens Lunatic Asylum Stain. In preparation for writing this novella, I researched some of the most well known haunted house mysteries.”
